I see that I am not the only person to have had a hard time with this company. My employers sent in my claim only for this company to deny it. Even though my employers knew my claim to be valid, even with a witness. I lost a month of treatment during the investigation process. More then four months without work without any money to pay any bills. You know how hard it is to go from paying all the bills to not even being able to provide a loaf of bread? I have them reviewing my case and if nothing comes from it I am going to seek a lawyer to do things right. Companies like this shouldn't even be in business.

I broke my foot at work. I went immediately to a clinic that is paid for by this company. The clinic told me to see another doctor as soon as possible. CBR scheduled an appt a week later. I was not allowed to chose my doctor. The doctor I saw was dissmissive and uninterested. He spent less than 5 minutes in the room. He did not ask me about the pain, show me my xrays, or ask me about my case. He returned me immediately to work, without perscribing medication for pain. I am a KINDERGARTEN TEACHER. That same day I made an appt with an excellent doctor of my choosing. He advised me to rest and stay off of my foot,he did not agree with the first dr. advice. Now I have used more than half of my sick days in order to recover.CBR will not pay for any sick leave because I was returned to work. They will not schedual an appt for a second opinion. The case worker told me I couldn't just see another doctor because I did not like his demeanor. When I called the doctor back for pain medicine , the case worker called and said I should still have pain meds and was rude to me. I am disgusted with this entire situation. No person should be treated like they don't matter. Becuase of this one person, my rating is a 0.
I was hurt on the job and knew nothing about work comp. I was immersed into the system by CBR and a case manager with an anger issue. After going to a local dr. and doing PT it became apparent that my problems were more severe and I needed to be referred elsewhere. My case manager never called when she was supposed to and when she did she would scream and say she didn't have time to deal with my problems, she had more important things to do. She said she couldn't do anything because the doctor's office wouldn't send her the paper work she needed. I checked with them and they said they had. I became the pawn between the two. She insisted she still didn't have it after the second time and she didn't have time to call them so I would have to "take care of it myself." I lost around three months during this back and forth time of her screaming and ranting. At the end of one of her rants one day she said I had a new case manager, Felicia, and hung up. Thankfully Felicia got in touch with me soon and she got things moving for my medical care. She got me an RN and referrals to specialists. The one star I gave CBR is for Felicia ONLY. Of course after surgery they took Felicia away and fired my RN so things were back to rotten.
I had never dealt with a work injury and didn't know what to expect. When I was treated rudely by my case manager I thought about all the horror stories I had heard. Her outlandish behavior continued until every phone call resulted in her screaming or telling me she didn't have time to deal with my case or she had more important things to do. She said she couldn't do anything because the doctor I had seen would not send her the needed paper work and I would just have to "take care of it myself." This lady's anger issues and attitudes prohibited me from receiving the care I needed for about three months, until I was transferred to Felicia. She turned out to be an angel in disguise. She helped me get an RN and the needed help. They took her off of my case, fired my RN, and things returned to rotten. The one star for CBR is for Felicia; no one else.
